Since I started doing marine construction work back in 2013, I’ve been noticing things about the bulkheads. Mainly that the wooden bulkheads don’t let the dirt get washed out as easily as the vinyl bulkheads. There was the issue of having the caps blown off when big storms would come through. I was always hearing about people having to replace the caps on their bulkheads because of the storms. Then I came up with a solution: the WaveShield. 

With all the knowledge that I already had about the caps getting blown off during the storms, I was able to come up with the idea of the wave shield to help prevent the caps from getting blown off. Along with helping prevent the caps from getting blown off, the WaveShields also help prevent most of the erosion of the dirt behind the bulkheads.
