I have been installing and working on bulkheads and piers since the 1970’s.  I was very happy when Vinyl Bulkheads became popular. They were a great improvement over the wooden bulkheads, but they did have their own problems. 

Strong storms pound water into the bulkhead forcing water under the cap of the bulkhead resulting in the erosion. Many times, during strong storms the waves often force these caps completely off the bulkheads.  Many of my customers needed to replace the backfill to maintain their property.

The WaveShield (patented), has helped with this problem. When properly installed they have greatly reduced the maintenance needed.  My customers that have used them are very satisfied with the results.
